I just spent 2 days understanding somebody else’s code and playing around with it to try to improve it. Then I realized that I actually implemented the same thing that the original code was doing.
After talking to at least two people, I realized that I have a habit of reinventing the wheel for various projects that I have worked on. This is something that I need to fix in order to increase my productivity.
